A Solar Power Plant refers to a facility designed to generate electricity using solar energy. It harnesses sunlight and converts it into electricity through photovoltaic (PV) panels or concentrated solar power (CSP) technology. These power plants are composed of numerous solar panels installed across a large area to capture sunlight efficiently.
There are two primary types of solar power plants:
Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Power Plants: These plants use solar panels composed of multiple PV cells to directly convert sunlight into electricity. These cells generate DC electricity, which is then converted into AC power through inverters for grid connection or direct use.
Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) Plants: CSP plants use mirrors or lenses to concentrate sunlight onto a small area, heating a fluid to produce steam. The steam then drives a turbine connected to a generator to produce electricity.
